Talent Attraction & Retention
Objective: The Chamber has formed an Economic Development Task Force to explore strategies to address Talent Attraction & Retention for the county. We recommend promoting a live, work, play, gather, shop community focused on connectivity. However, we recognize the importance of framing this around authenticity, and building on existing infrastructure. To accomplish this goal, we developed three focus areas to dig deeper into ways to attract and retain Talent for long-term sustainability. The three areas are:

  1. Housing & development
  2. Arts, Culture, & entertainment
  3. Workforce Development Tactics

The end goal is to create a master marketing plan for the county, incorporating the existing "Create Your Story" branding alongside the three focus group initiatives, and use it to target qualified Talent.
